The Postpartum Reality Most
Moms Aren’t Told

Many moms are told that breastfeeding will make the baby weight fall off.

But for many women, the opposite happens. You’re not doing anything wrong.

Hormones shift. Hunger increases. Sleep disappears. And suddenly the strategies that worked before pregnancy don’t work anymore.

I KNOW THIS BECAUSE I LIVED IT.

Meet Megan Brister, RD

Hi, I’m Megan Brister, Registered Dietitian and postpartum nutrition expert.

After childbirth, you might feel like you want to regain control of your body. Six months after having my baby, I still felt stuck in my postpartum body. I wanted to lose weight, but I was terrified of harming my milk supply.

Even after working as a dietitian for more than 15 years, I realized how little clear guidance existed for safe breastfeeding weight loss.

So I started experimenting with strategies grounded in nutrition science and real life as a new mom.

When I found an approach that supported both weight loss and milk supply, everything changed.

Now I help other moms do the same — with strategies designed specifically for the postpartum season of life.
